Keedysville Town Council

January 3, 2011

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was called to order at 7:00 pm with the following members present: Mayor Matt Hull, Assistant Mayor Barry Levey, Council Members Richard Walton, Rob Smith and Victoria Gudeman and Town Administrator Rick Bishop.

Minutes from December 6, 2010 were read and approved.

General Fund Report was $245,410.98.

Mayor Hull informed Council that Town Attorney Ed Kuczynski had not responded with an updated version of a weapons discharge ordinance. The Mayor said he would contact Mr. Kuczynski.

The Mayor spoke about the need to update the heating system at the library and the possibility of using the MEA grant to fund it.

Administrator Bishop informed the Mayor & Council that Karen Gardiner said that there was a plan by the group that planted the trees behind Town Hall to mulch around the trees in the coming Spring. Therefore, the Town would not need to do it.

It was noted that info for replacement of the street lights had not changed since the last Mayor & Council meeting.

Mayor Hull said that the mortar shells in the park that had been knocked over had been replaced.

Signage for the front of Town Hall was discussed. A sign to be placed in the small grass area in front of the building would be researched. A flat panel display would be purchased to place in one of the front windows to display Town information for the residents.
