Keedysville Town Council

April 4, 2011

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was called to order at 7:00 pm with the following members present: Mayor Matt Hull, Council Members Richard Walton, Rob Smith and Victoria Gudeman and Town Administrator Rick Bishop.

Minutes from March 7, 2011 were read and approved.

General Fund Report was $231,457.05.

There is no news on the MEA grant for the heat pump at the library.

Street light replacement by Potomac Edison was discussed. Council Member Walton made a motion to accept the proposal for street light replacement by Potomac Edison. Council Member Smith seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Leveling the field by the library was discussed. Mayor Hull noted that C. W. Hetzer would use waste material from the water line replacement to fill and would do the work at no additional cost to the Town since they would save money by not having to truck it elsewhere.

The Council was not interested in participating in the Boonsboro parade.

Mayor Hull informed the Council that the large tree behind Town Hall is in need of removal. Estimates would be sought.

The sign for Town Hall was discussed. While all agreed the proposed sign from Kenney Signs was a very nice design, some way to lower the cost was desired.

A concern about parking during the recent Antietam Lodge festival, raised via email from a resident, was discussed.

Carl French expressed displeasure over the amount of his last water bill.

Meeting adjourned at 7:40 pm.

Submitted,
Richard Bishop
Town Administrator
