Keedysville Town Council

March 4, 2013

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was called to order at 7:00 pm with the following members present: Mayor Matt Hull, Assistant Mayor Barry Levey, Council Members Richard Walton, Gina Ellis and Town Administrator Rick Bishop.

Minutes from February 4, 2012 were read and approved.

General Fund Report was $317,666.05

Mayor Hull noted that yard waste collection is suspended until April.

Mayor Hull noted that parts have been ordered to repair the bench by the parking lot in the center of Town.

Mayor Hull noted that he had purchased the parking blocks for the grassy area by the parking lot and he will place them soon.

Mr. Bishop noted that the land swap with Miguel Cid at the water tank was nearing completion.

It was agreed upon to purchase a bottle of Round Up to control the weeds in the parking lot.

A resident expressed concern about cars parked on Taylor Dr. near Brandenburg Field. The Mayor said he would contact the Sheriff's Department.

Regarding repairs to the masonry in Town Hall, an estimate would be sought from Danny Garling, the mason who worked on the cistern at Mt. Hebron Dr.

Ms. Ellis asked if any of the Council members would be going to the meeting of the Washington County Chapter of the Maryland Municipal League on March 25. She would be the only representative from Keedysville.

There was discussion of problems with dogs encroaching on and/or soiling properties where they don't belong.
