Keedysville Town Council

April 1, 2013

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was called to order at 7:00 pm with the following members present: Mayor Matt Hull, Council Members Richard Walton and Gina Ellis and Town Administrator Rick Bishop.

Minutes from March 4, 2013 were read and approved.

General Fund Report was $323,845.90

Mayor Hull noted the announcements that street sweeping would take place on Wednesday, April 10 and that there would be a bulk trash pickup on Saturday, April 20.

Mayor Hull noted that the parts to repair the bench by the parking lot were in and needed to be installed.

Mayor Hull noted that Danny Garling gave an estimate of $2500 to do the masonry repairs to Town Hall and that he would be moving ahead with the repairs.

Mayor Hull said he had spoken to the owner of the untagged cars on Taylor Dr. and that they had been moved.

Mayor Hull asked about a notice about problems with dogs and was told by Mr. Bishop that a notice was in the newsletter, had been sent by email and was posted on both the Town website and the Keedysville Facebook page.

Mr. Walton made a motion to approve the proposed operating agreement regarding cost sharing prepared by the Boonsboro Keedysville Regional Water Board. Ms. Ellis seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

Mayor Hull gave an extended history of the water agreements and dealings with Boonsboro to the attendees.

Ms. Ellis asked Mayor Hull if her husband could put signs up at the parking lot asking vehicle owners to move their vehicles for the street sweeping. He said he had no problem with that.

Some residents asked about and information regarding the recent arsons. A brief discussion followed.
