Keedysville Town Council

December2, 2013

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was called to order at 7:00 pm with the following members present: Mayor Matt Hull, Assistant Mayor Barry Levey, Council Member Gina Ellis and Town Administrator Rick Bishop.

Minutes from November 4, 2013 were read and approved.

General Fund Report was $378,753.20.

Ms. Ellis made a motion to accept the refuse collection $5195.50 per month for the period February 1, 2014 through January 31, 2017. Mr. Levey seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

Mayor Hull noted that the additional quote for replacement of the front porch roof at the library was substantially higher that the quote from Smith Renovations. He said that Smith Renovations had just begun the work.

Mr. Bishop noted that Bob Watkins said that the bombs would be placed with the monument before the end of the year.

Mayor Hull noted a workshop with a representative from Tele-Plus regarding security cameras for the Town. More homework needs to be done.

Mr. Bishop discussed the need for the Town to become part of the One Call System, better known as Miss Utility. He said that he is waiting to hear back from One Call Concepts regarding the cost to the Town.

Eva Weigel asked about the holiday schedule for Apple Valley Waste. Mr. Bishop said that when a scheduled pickup day is a holiday, that pickup and each ensuing pickup that week will be pushed back one day.
