Keedysville Town Council

February 2, 2015

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was called to order at 7:02 pm with the following members present: Mayor Matt Hull, Assistant Mayor Barry Levey, Council Members Victoria Gudeman, Gina Ellis and Ken Lord and Town Administrator Rick Bishop.

Minutes from January, 2015 were read and approved.

General Fund Report was $301,632.20

Ms. Gudeman updated the Mayor & Council on progress with Main St. Community Safety & Enhancement Project. She said that at the last meeting the group broke up Main Street into different areas that needed to be addressed, i.e., drainage issues, parking, etc. She said that the scope of the project did not include the area north of Keedy Dr. If the Town would like that included the Town would be responsible for that. She said that one of the big concerns expressed by residents is the status of retaining walls. She said that another concern was retaining the historical nature of Main St. She said that the next meeting would be Thursday, February 5th at 7:30.

Ms. Ellis noted that Randy's Multiservice will be doing the cleanup in the park when the weather breaks.

Mr. Hull said he had not heard back from Dan Ryan regarding the purchase of the Stonecrest subdivision.

The Council declined to participate with Meredith Poffenberger's tourist trail map project.

Mr. Levey made a motion to accept the proposal from Antietam Tree & Turf for weed control on Town properties. Ms. Ellis seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

The Mayor and Council gave their approval to the Washington County Land Use/Land Cover Update.
