Keedysville Town Council

May 4, 2015

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was called to order at 7:01 pm with the following members present: Mayor Matt Hull, Assistant Mayor Barry Levey, Council Members Victoria Gudeman, Gina Ellis and Ken Lord.

Minutes from April 6, 2015 were read and approved.

General Fund Report was $281,089.28

Mayor Hull noted the closure of Town Hall and that it would reopen Monday, May 11.

Mayor Hull noted that the agreement and promissory note with Austin Gray for payment of the Land Development fee had been signed.

Ms. Gudeman updated the Council on the status of the MSCS& EP. She said that the new SHA lead for the project is Mary LeDoux (sp?). She said that the SHA team was working on the drainage/storm water concept for the project and they would like to have the concept complete before the next meeting with the Town. She said that SHA would have a team in town in the near future to perform pipe video inspections.

Ms. Ellis noted that the bridge would be open in about one week.

Mr. Lord noted that the FEMA Region III exercised scheduled for Tuesday, May 5 had been postponed.

The proposed budget for FY 2016 was discussed. Highway User Revenues, Planning &Zoning, Park Maintenance, Mowing, and trees in the park were discussed.

Ms Gudeman made a motion to purchase the Bronze warranty package with TelePlus for the park video cameras. Mr. Levey seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Mr. Lord made a motion to approve for the current tax rates to continue for FY 2016. Ms Ellis seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Mr. Levey made a motion to donate $100.00 to Boonsboro's Green Fest. Ms. Ellis seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Mr. Levey made a motion to donate $500.00 to Fairview Cemetery. Ms. Gudeman seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Ms. Gudeman made a motion to donate $200.00 to Lupus. Mr. Levey seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Mr. Levey made a motion to donate $100.00 to the Boonsboro Fishing Derby. Ms. Gudeman seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Randy Burns noted the 1st Keedysville yard sale to be held by the Ruritans at the Old School on Saturday, May 23.

Mr. Lord noted that Meredith Poffenburger was interested in starting a business at the Old Line House.
