Keedysville Town Council

April 4, 2016

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was called to order at 7:00pm with the following members present: Mayor Matt Hull, Assistant Mayor Barry Levey, Council Members Victoria Gudeman, Gina Ellis and Ken Lord and Town Administrator Rick Bishop.

Minutes from March, 2016 were read and approved.

General Fund Report was $378,020.59

Mayor Hull noted the announcements as listed on the agenda.

Matt Powell from Dan Ryan Builders was present to get signatures for the re-plat of Stonecrest and the SWM Plan retrofit. Mr. Levey made a motion to accept both plans. Ms. Gudeman seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Ms. Gudeman gave an update on the SHA Main St. project. She noted that Virginia Keenan was once again the director of the project. Arthur Lucas, of 44 No. Main St., expressed concern about placement of parking spaces in front of his residence. Ms. Gudeman showed him the placement on the current plans and he was satisfied. Ms. Gudeman said that SHA needed an answer as to whether or not the Town wanted to move forward with installing pedestrian lighting in conjunction with the project. Ms. Gudeman made a motion to move forward with the pedestrian lighting. Mr. Levey seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Ms. Ellis noted that a new Christmas tree would be planted in Taylor Park soon.

Mr. Levey made a motion to donate the following funds: $100.00 to Holly's Place, $100.00 to the Lupus Foundation and $100.00 to Boonsboro's Green Fest. Ms. Gudeman seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Ms. Ellis asked to have the dedication for the Ralph Taylor plaque and tree on Saturday, June 18th at 2:00pm.

Ben Estes expressed, again, his concerns about the use and confusions about the right of way on his property.
