Keedysville Town Council

August 3, 2009

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was opened with the following members present: Mayor Hull, Asst. Mayor Levey, council members David Brumage, Rob Smith and Town Administrator Simmons.

Minutes were read and approved.

The treasurer's report was as follows: $216,543.89

Parks & Playgrounds equipment will be installed starting on Tuesday 8/4.

A SWM pond in Stoncrest is draining improperly across an adjacent property owners land and causing flooding problems. Weeds also continue to be a problem at the site. The Mayor and Council advised that the developer has filed for bankruptcy. Town attorney will be consulted to advise on where to go from here.

Tom Clemens was present and requested that the Town donate to the lunch for wounded veterans that would be held in town on 8/22. David Brumage made a motion that the Town donate the chicken for the event as they did last year, Barry Levey 2nd all agreed, motion passed.

Randy Burns requested that the Town pay for the entertainment for the children at this year's Ruritan Festival. Amount would be $500 or less, to be paid directly to Ted's rent it center. Barry Levey made a motion to donate funds and David Brumage 2nd all agreed, motion passed.
