Keedysville Town Council

January 7, 2008

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was opened with the following members present: Mayor Hull, Asst Mayor Levey, Council Members, Brumage, Robertson, Walton and Town Administrator Simmons.

Minutes were read and approved.

The treasurer's report was as follows: $342,789.36

Council member Brumage gave an overview of recent ongoing talks with SHA regarding the NO PARKING issues. A consensus has been met and SHA will begin in the near future marking those zones through town.

Questions were raised regarding the Refuse Collection time along with the Holiday schedule. Greenscape will be contacted and information will be made available on town's web site.

Brian Poffenberger made a presentation on the proposed Home Rule Charter that will be voted on in the upcoming primary election on 2/12. Mr. Poffenberger requested that the Mayor& Council endorse the proposed changes. A motion was made by Barry Levey to meet and discuss through email and agreed on a decision within 1 week. Richard Walton 2nd all agreed.

Jim Dorsey from Dan Ryan Builders was present to request a reduction/release in the current 300,000 bond being held on Cannon Ridge. After discussion a walk thru will be held on 1/19 and reduction will be reviewed after walk thru.

Barry Levey made a motion to donate 200. to Sheriff Doug Mullendore for MDS, Richard Walton 2nd all agreed.
