Keedysville Town Council

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was opened with the following members present: Mayor Hull, Council Members, Brumage, Smith, Walton and Town Administrator Simmons.

Minutes were read and approved.

The treasurer's report was as follows: $114,569.32

An update was given on the Library progress; members of the Keedysville Historical Society questioned Mayor Hull on the promise and availability of space for a small display in the newly remodeled Library. Mayor Hull as well as Council members assured the Historical Society that space would be made available to the group in either the library or Town Hall.

After a review of the Sheriff's Department OT a decision was made to defer all patrols until further notice, due to winter months.

Members of the Keedysville Historical Society requested a small donation to the club in order to purchase a display case. Carl Hardcastle of Greenscape Trash & Lawn was present to offer to pay for the cost of the $500. display case if the Town would agree to donate the remaining dollars. David Brumage made a motion to donate $250. Richard Walton 2nd all agreed, motion passed.

Carl Hardcastle owner of current refuse provider Greenscape sited some concerns regarding large and bulk items becoming more frequent on weekly pick ups. After some discussion, the council agreed that residents should be more aware of
