Keedysville Town Council

June 2, 2008

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Town Council was opened with the following members present: Mayor Hull, Asst Mayor Levey, Council Members, Brumage, Walton and Town Administrator Simmons.

Minutes were read and approved.

The treasurer's report was as follows: $101,256.98

Quotes for concrete sidewalk at the New Town Hall were reviewed, Mayor Hull advised that 3 more bids were due to arrive. Bids were reviewed and tabled till next month.

A request for donation to Fairview Cemetery was received a motion was made by Barry Levey and 2nd by Richard Walton to donate $350. All agreed motion passed.

Randy Burns requested a donation on behalf of the Ruritan Club for the upcoming festival held in August. Mr. Burns requested that the same amount as last year be donated again this year. Records were verified to show that $671.75 was donated last year. A motion was made by Barry Levey and 2nd by David Brumage to donate $671.75 again this year. All agreed motion passed.

Susan MacDonald from the Washington County Commission on Aging gave a presentation to Mayor & Council on the County's Strategic Plan for a Senior Friendly County.
