Keedysville Planning and Zoning
March 10, 2014
Attending members: Randy Burns, Ken Lord, Don Weigel and Matt Hull
Also attending: Mary Robertson, Richard Cook, Shannon French, Carl French, Tim Robertson
Minutes from February's meeting were read. Motion to approve was made by Ken, seconded by Don. All agreed.
There was no Old Business.
Richard Cook, 30 N. Main Street, was present at this meeting. He was requesting the permitting procedure for dismantling a storage building on his property next to a stone cottage he is restoring. His intent is to make this area a patio/rock garden. The stone foundation will remain. Parts of the building will be salvaged with appropriate companies. Due to a lack of a Historical Society with jurisdiction in Keedysville, and with guidance of the Comprehensive Plan, the authority rests with the Planning & Zoning Committee. He was advised to apply for a permit with the Town along with pictorial documentation and an opinion from the Keedysville Historical Society.
The Maryland Department of Planning has sent their periodic form to request Committee member information. This will be given to Rick.
The meeting adjourned at 7:39 PM. Motion to adjourn was made by Don, seconded by Ken. All agreed.
