Keedysville Water Commission

April 4, 2011

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Water Commission was called to order at 7:40pm, with the following members present: Commission Members Matt Hull, Richard Walton, Rob Smith and Victoria Gudeman and Town Administrator Rick Bishop.

Minutes for March 7, 2011 were read and approved.

General Fund Report was: $88,822.98.

Commission Member Hull gave updates on the Water Infrastructure Upgrades. He noted that the bore under Little Antietam Creek had begun. The water tower construction would be starting back up soon. Trees were removed from the pump station site.

The Town will need to pay $6,600.00 to Potomac Edison to install a new pole with three-phase power for the pump station.

Mr. Hull noted that, Boonsboro, after having requesting and signing a Memorandum Of Understanding with Keedysville stating that they would not maintain the new water system facilities, now wants to provide such maintenance and will be providing Keedysville a proposed rate schedule for those services. He also noted that Keedysville has a proposed agreement for those services from the Washington County Division of Environmental Management.

Commission Member Walton discussed the application that he has been working on, for a possible $500,000 grant for the water system upgrades.

Meeting adjourned at 7:58p.m.

Submitted,
Richard Bishop
Town Administrator
