Keedysville Water Commission

May 8, 2012

The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Water Commission was called to order at 9:15pm, with the following members present: Commission Chairman Barry Levey, Commission Members Matt Hull, Richard Walton, Victoria Gudeman and Gina Ellis and Town Administrator Rick Bishop.

Minutes for April 2, 2012 were read and approved.

General Fund Report was $130,746.74.

Mr. Levey informed that the loan closing with USDA to pay off the interim financing with Susquehanna Bank had happened. He said that the ARC grant for $350,000.00 was being processed.

Mr. Levey talked about a bill from C. William Hetzer for investigating a potential leak found by Fluid Conservation Technologies. It appeared that there was a mistake causing a large overcharge to the Town. Hetzer would be contacted about the bill.

Mr. Levey noted that the gallons of water billed by Keedysville was still very close to the gallons of water used by the Town.

Mr. Bishop informed the Commission of a new leak at the service at 20 So. Main St. He said that this was the third time that a leak had been discovered at this service.

Mr. Levey discussed a meeting with Austin Abraham, Matt Hull, Tim Robertson and himself regarding a possible agreement with Boonsboro regarding the maintenance of the Keedysville water system.

Mr. Levey noted repair parts and tools that have been purchased for the water system.

Meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
