Keedysville Water Commission
November 5, 2012
The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Water Commission was called to order at 7:55 pm, with the following members present: Commission Chairman Barry Levey, Commission Members Matt Hull, Richard Walton and Gina Ellis and Town Administrator Rick Bishop.
Minutes for October 1, 2012 were read and approved.
General Fund Report was $122,013.13.
Mr. Levey noted the approaching end of the warranty period for the three infrastructure upgrade projects. He noted two minor issues with the booster pump station and the water tank. He also noted concerns with the leaks that are continuing to happen with the water connections along Main Street. He noted an upcoming meeting with C. William Hetzer, the contractor that completed the waterline replacement.
Mr. Levey noted the work to be done by Washington County on the bridge on Coffman Farms Rd. over the Little Antietam Creek. He said that he had informed the County that there is a waterline in the roadbed on the bridge. The county will be working on developing a proposal as to how to handle the waterline.
Mr. Levey asked that a notice be forwarded to residents to survey their property and locate their water meter, sewerage grinder pump and sewerage clean out and mark them on their property so that in the event of a malfunction, the repair crews would be able to find and repair the problem more quickly.
Mr. Bishop asked if it would be okay to close the Water Infrastructure Upgrade Account. Mr. Levey agreed.
Meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
