Keedysville Water Commission
March 4, 2013
The monthly meeting of the Keedysville Water Commission was called to order at 7:35 pm, with the following members present: Commission Chairman Barry Levey, Commission Members Matt Hull, Richard Walton and Gina Ellis and Town Administrator Rick Bishop.
Minutes for February 4, 2013 were read and approved.
General Fund Report was $163,630.07.
Mr. Levey discussed the repairs to the spring house. He said Boonsboro desired to place the pipe to the treatment plant outside of the ground. The project would be split into two phases. The first would be the pipe replacement and the second would be repair/replacement of the building and various other repairs.
Mr. Levey noted the fence that is needed around the spring house and the tree clearing that needs to be done before installing the fence. There were three quotes provided for the clearing. The low quote was $1800 from Preferred Arbor Care. They would be contacted and asked to proceed.
Mr. Bishop presented the Vulnerability Assessment and Emergency Response Plan that he put together in part, to satisfy requirements of the USDA loan for the Water Infrastructure Upgrades of 2012. He asked for input from the Commission as to any corrections or additions they might find upon reviewing the plans
. Mr. Levey noted the Regional Water Board meeting and that the Boonsboro representation declined to accept the shared cost proposal.
